Writing cursive i and I
The letter examples and writing notes on this page use Playwrite US Trad. The Modern option changes the worksheet model; some letter shapes and joins are different.
The body of lowercase i sits around the midline; its dot is above it.
i finishes with an upstroke from the baseline that leads straight into the next letter, so you keep the pencil down through the word.
Watch the difference between i and e. Writing them side by side on one row helps.
Capital I reaches around the top line; its main body stays above the baseline.
