About these sheets
Sheets come in two open-source school cursive styles from the Playwrite family: Traditional, the looped cursive most US classrooms teach, and Modern, a simpler joined hand. The letters really connect, and the font is embedded in the PDF, so the model letters stay sharp whether you print on Letter or A4, or zoom in on a tablet.
Each writing row has a top line, a dotted midline, a baseline and a dashed descender line. Faded letters are for tracing, solid letters are a model to copy, and outline letters let children trace inside the shape. Pick "trace + blank" to follow each model row with an empty row for independent writing.
Names work best for beginners: the letters are familiar, and children are motivated to write them well. Move on to short words, then whole sentences. A few minutes of daily practice does more than one long session a week.

Is it really free?
Yes. There is no sign-up and no watermark. Make and print as many sheets as you need.
Which cursive style is this?
Traditional uses Playwrite US Trad, a looped US school cursive; Modern uses Playwrite US Modern, a simpler joined style. Both are released under the SIL Open Font License. Switch between them under Style.
Why does my text not fit?
Each page has a fixed number of rows. Shorten the text, choose a smaller letter size, or show the model on every row.
Can I print on A4?
Yes. Choose A4 or US Letter under Paper. The PDF is set to print at actual size, so the rows keep their measured height.
